LIFE DRAWING WITH THE BERLIN STRIPPERS COLLECTIVE
THE ART OF DRAWING MEETS THE ART OF (STRIP)TEASE for the Life Drawing Session held by the Berlin Strippers Collective.
This concept was developed by the East London Strippers Collective a.k.a. ‘’a bunch of feisty, feminist, fiercely independent women, who also happen to be strippers. They aim at shattering stereotypes and challenging stigma, whilst improving their own working conditions.”
We have joined this mission and created the Berlin Strippers Collective.
By organizing our own events and inviting diverse audiences, we want to challenge preconceptions, as well as sharing our love for sensual movement and sky high heels with people who might not be drawn to strip clubs in the first place.
This session will be held at KAKE, a queer event and performance space. We welcome professional artists, designers, sketchers, illustrators, animators, doodlers, students and first-timers alike.
Just bring yourself, your pencils and some good mood, and we will provide some sexy sassy poses.
15€ regular and 10€ for students. If you don’t have your own material, we will make some available for a donation of 3€
Drinks will be available at the bar.
HOW IT WILL WORK:
The first section of the session, the “strip-freeze”, is an intense warm-up for the class. Our dancer will perform her striptease routine and pole tricks on stage, then will freeze in a one-two minute pose.
The second section will follow a more traditional pattern, with poses of five, ten and fifteen minutes.
